There’s a quiet beauty in the moments in-between - getting ready before dinner after a day at the beach, the golden hour glow just before sunset, the first sip of an apéritif to take in the moment. It’s in these pockets of slowness that we return to being fully present.
The apéritif has long been one of our favourite rituals when travelling. But lately, we’ve been rethinking how we mark these moments. What it means to pause, toast, and truly enjoy - without defaulting to alcohol. This summer, we’ve decided to approach the apéro hour more intentionally - choosing drinks that enhance, rather than dull, our awareness.
Freedl is Italy’s first non-alcoholic craft beer, brewed in the South Tyrolean Alps by siblings Maria (pictured) and Max Laimer. Created with the belief that taste should never be compromised, even when choosing to drink differently, Freedl is crisp, complex, and designed for those who want to celebrate with clarity - and still be mindful of tomorrow.
We recently served Freedl’s Sparkling Tea at our latest Slow Soirée, and it brought a fresh energy to the hour. Refreshing without being sweet, sophisticated without being pretentious, and deeply grounding. A little bottle of ease - equally at home beside a sun-warmed pool, on a boat, or under an olive tree in the countryside.
Cheers to joy with nothing to regret the next day.
